The situation is this. I’ve walked into a system running around 100 C10LE’s which connect to Citrix XenDesktop which provides streamed Windows 7 desktops from Citrix Provisioning Services. I have absolutely no thin client experience but am happy enough with the Xen side of things.

The problem I’m facing is poor or unusual audio. If I play an mp3 with Media Player the intro is usually ok-ish but as soon as the vocals start they are almost inaudible whilst certain elements of the backing track are much more prominent than they should be. The max volume is quite low and is just about loud enough to be acceptable. If I use VLC then it’s even quieter but at least the volume of all the elements is in the right proportion but there is a lot of distortion

Users are also reporting problems with audio on websites

In the above scenario all connections take place across a local LAN

If I use the Citrix receiver on a PC then everything works as expected with none of the above symptoms

Apologies if this is a known problem but my Google Fu has failed on this one.

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried other AudioQuality settings?
    What firmware are you running?

I’ve tried not setting the qudio quality so presumably it would use defaults and the above setting. Firmware is 7.0_113

    Thanks

    Then you should try it.
    BTW, latest fw is 7.1_207

There is no discernible difference in audio whether I try AudioQuality=Default, Low, Medium or High

As for Firmware there is no maintenance contract on these boxes so at the moment I’m stuck with what I’ve got

    Thanks
