Hi All.
I am sitting with a Problem or.. need a solution for building ini files..
I know of the ConfGen.. a great tool, but i need something a bit different..
My clients are C10LE..1. my regular wnos.ini is the global ini file..
i have a group of users in a AD group called PREPROD who needs to connect to a different ICA broker.
if they are not in the group then they should use the wnos.ini whitout the {username}/{group}.ini..it would make it alot easier if one couldt make it out of an AD group instead of the username..
2. how shouldt i place the files in my config..
i have a std. installation.. WDM wrkg. ftprootrapportwnos.. ect..3. do i need an include=$username / $group..
any help would be great..
Thanks in advance..

You would have to work either
– with username.ini file: put the files in /wnos/ini folder. Nothing else needed
– with WDM and its Default Device Configuration. But in this case it is machine based and not userbased.CG

Hi Confgen..
Thanks for the reply.. I have heard that it was possible to make a selction out of a AD group instead of users..but to make it clear.. now i will have to make a script that makes username.ini from a template, and put them in the ini folder..?

Check my “INI file handling” document in the Products-WTOS section to learn more about all INI file options.CG

I Would like to share my solution..
I´ve needed a Solution to make a Connection out from AD groups instead of users..
So here is what we came up with..
Its pretty basic,
1. Our installation is wnosini
wnoslocal2. one {username}.ini pr. user 2500.. 🙂
3. One global wnos.ini and a Template {username}.ini and a Default.ini for those who just want to connect.
4. A script that reads the ADgroups and out from Keyb, Locale, conuntry. We made a file “user”.ini with different brokers and connections keyboard and locale layout.. and placed them in the ini folder..Well and i would like to thank ConfGen for his Patiance.. :)..
the files is awailble.. just email me.. 🙂happy thin clienting.. :D..
