    Hi

I’m new to this site and fairly new to Wyse terminals 😳

Anyway I’ve been given a couple of 9235LE terminals which I am planning to use at work to display powerpoint presentations from a server in public areas on Plasma screens (which is what they where used for by the person who gave then to me).

Obviously they were set up for use as that so I’ve had to wipe them as I don’t have the administrator’s password (changed from the default). Managed to do this using NetXfer. However I can only use the base image from the Wyse website, when I try to reimage using the XPe SP1 images on this site afer NetXfer tells me it has been suvceesful and the 9235 reboots all I get afer POST is a black screen and that’s it. Not an issue using the base image get into XPe can log in as Administrator and do what I want.

Please help as it’s driving me mad 😕

Could be that the newer image is to big for your flash and therefore not all parts of the image is transfered.
How much flash does your 9235 have? What image is failing?

    Thanks for replying.

The 9235LE I have has 256MB Flash memory, I’ve downloaded and installed successfully the the B247 V1.0 XPe image for US builds for 256MB.

However there are SP1 versions available V2.1 B327 – B329 and I’ve tried all versions of this (there are 256MB and 192MB versions). As like you I thought that there may be a problem with space, I’ve also tried downloading the images several times from Wyse to rule out corrupt images as well – all fail with similar results when sent to the 9235 apart from the V1.0 B247 image which the 9235 is quite happy with.

It’s obviously quite frustrating as there are thing that require SP1 to be installed.

Any light you can throw on this is much appreciated.

When I take a look at the b329 image it is a .i2d file and not a .bin.
Have you tried to flash the 9235 via WDM or WSI instead of NetXfer?

No I’ve only tried using NeXfer, Like I said I’m quite new to all this so I’ll check out the other options you’ve mentioned, although not sure how to do either of these at the moment.
