Using a Cruzer 4GB key in my Dell laptop running Windows 7 and version 1.8 of the imaging tool.

When I run the tool it sees the key but says:

“USB drive size less than 1GB, please insert a higher capacity drive”.

    Any thoughts?

Windows 7 iscurrently not supported by the USB imager.
    Try on XP.

Yes, it is. Hopefully they are fixing this soon. I am working on Windows 7 myself and have to fire up my VM always to create a USB drive.

It looks like this thread could use an update.

Per the USB Firmware Tool User Guide:

“For Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 7 Ultimate, right-click on Wyse USB Firmware Tool.exe and select the Run as administrator option.”

Running the tool as an administrator resolves the issue. I am using 8 GB Cruzer drives successfully with Win XP and Windows 7.
