We are trying to use some 3150’s at a remote site and they can’t boot up on that subnet which is a different subnet than the office here hwere they work fine.
They go into a weird loop at boot up saying they can’t find Plug and Play OS and ISA NIC ??
Is there a TCP/UDP port we have to allow through the router to pick up the broadcast properly ??
We run DHCP across our entire WAN and we have several Blazers (1200’s) at the same site that work fine.
any ideas would be most welcome.
regards – glen
Wow, thats a good one. Kind of a long shot but could the 3150’s at the remote site be trying to PXE boot off another server? Do you have a RIS or some other PXE server dumping out images to PC’s on that site? If this is that case try changing the boot order on the terminal with PXE last and see if it helps.
Its just strage that you take a working device and put it there and it fails and I assume it comes back and works again?
Let me know,
Cheers,
