You could use SNMP commands but this would not give you much functionality. If you don’t want WDM why not just use a different management agent?

As long as you script the the use of the Write Filter you could send packages to the device, there are only 2 drawbacks to this:

– Most PC management agents (SMS etc) have a large footprint and use up a lot of Flash space.

– You would not be able to image devices, just send packages
