What happens when the write-filter is turned off? Does it work as advertised every time?
Also, you can check the netxclean.ini file under c:windowssystem32 and the asociated service “Client Cleanup”. You can try disabling this, but you wil not the built in cleanup of miscellaneous temp data/directories.
Also, you could use a GPO to control the saving to the local drives, as far as files are concerned, redirect them to a network drive, etc. It would still save profile info, which could be controlled by the client cleanup utility…
