Ok, thank you for the information.
I am currently testing if turning down the hardware acceleration on one of the affected machines makes a difference or not.
Turning it down to the the option “Disable all DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations.”
Not sure that it will make a difference or not as the settings seem to be disabled when connected to a machine over RDP.
The other option is perhaps to disable hardware acceleration altogether, which I believe can be done with a registry tweak.
Is it likely to do with the number of guest machines on a particular ESX host and/or the number of machines that reside on a particular LUN?
