Lots of reasons why but the main two are space an incorrect settings. Roaming profiles get BIG and this fills the flash and kills Thin Clients.

Second reason is its best to set up the profiles with any applications that be write to the C: drive re-directed to Z: – for example the Citrix bit map cache and icon cache. This reduces wear on the flash and makes performance better as the RAM disk is way faster.

Use this reg key to disable roaming profiles:

Then customise your Default User profile, each time a user logs in a nice new (and small) profile is created. If you want to keep user settings use the Flex profile kit and save the settings to the user home drive,
