New ConfGen Version 6.1 released

Configuration Generator

Today I have released the new version of the Configuration Generator. This release has the first shot of the Wyse Enhanced Ubuntu Linux parameter set. I have also updated some WTOS and SUSE parameters and embedded Base-64 encryption for the Linux passwords which are now used on all new Linux builds.

Currently there are 2 known issues:
- the Printing section is missing due to the lack of communication of Wyse
- if you open a wlx.ini which contains base-64 encrypted password, the passwords will not be read in.

Press Items: Configuration Generator Version 6 released

Configuration Generator

Earlier than expected I have finished my work on the new release of the Configuration Generator. I have really included a lot of new features to make it even easier to handle and look even better than before.

New features are:

  • New Wizard Mode for WTOS configuration (if you like that, I will do the same for Linux)
  • Ability to save the default folder path for opening and generating new ini files
  • New cool icon
  • New splashscreen
  • Some dozen new parameters for SUSE Linux added
  • Fixed an issue which occurs while opening ConfGen the first time
  • General bugfixing (as always)

Come on, download the new version and then do what you have to do -> press the Paypal button and let me know how much time this tool saves you.

  Paypal donation

To create and maintain this site and the Configuration Generator is a lot of work. Nevertheless I want to remain ConfGen and everything else to be free.
If you like the tool and use it regularly, please consider doing a donation via PayPal.

Thanks a lot

Do you think the acquisition of Wyse by Dell is good?

Finally Dell has great Thin Clients
Dell will probably kill the Wyse brand
The best that could happen to Wyse
The best that could happen to the TC market
